Started all 35 games for the Pirates in her first season...went
33-98 from the plate for a .337 batting average, third best on the
team...had one homerun (in-the-park)...drove in nine runs and
scored 23 times...posted a .367 slugging percentage and .398 on
base percentage...walked eight times and struck out nine...had 48
putouts and 2 assists while committing three errors for a .943
fielding percentage...2009 SCAC All-Sportsmanship Team...All-SCAC

High School
Turpin was a First Team All-District and Utility Player of the
Year in softball, was the Defensive MVP in volleyball and softball,
was Newcomer of the Year in softball and was a Wendy's High School
Heisman State Finalist, she also was a State Qualifier in pole
vault, lettered in volleyball, softball and track and field for the
Blackcats at Mexia HS in Tehuacana, TX.

Taylor is the daughter of John and Teresa Turpin...has one sibling
