GEORGETOWN, TEXAS - The Southwestern Pirates Softball team (3-12) traveled to play the Howard Payne University Yellow Jackets (5-5) at Lady Jacket Field in Brownwood, Texas. Game one ended in five innings with the YellowJackets defeating the Pirates 14-1. Southwestern's defense shined in Game two, but ultimately the Pirates dropped another game to Howard Payne, losing 1-3. 

HIGHLIGHTS

• Hailey Briscoe earned a stolen base in game one. 
• Emily Nevarez and Brianna Gonzales each hit a double in game two.
• Daniella Clark and Brianna Gonzales each earned an RBI for both runs in the doubleheader. 

NOTES

• Mazlyn Heyer pitched a complete game two, allowing 4 hits, 3 runs, and 2 walks
• The YellowJackets finished with 14 hits and runs in game one, 13 of which came in the first inning
