    PINEVILLE, La. - Southwestern University's sophomore pitcher Lyndsy Maus led the Pirates to a third place finish at the NCAA Regional and was recognized for her efforts by being selected to the All-Tournament Team. The Pirates went 3-2 at the tournament and were just one game out of the championship contest.

    PINEVILLE, La. - Southwestern softball once again led the majority of the game after posting one run in the top of the first, but a three-run sixth inning rally by East Texas Baptist ended the Pirate's phenomenal post season run. SU fell 3-1 to the Tigers just one game before the Regional Championship.

    PINEVILLE, La. – Despite maintaining a lead through five and a half innings of play the Southwestern Pirates’ softball team needed to come from behind once again in extra innings to upset the #2 team in the nation and #2 seed at the NCAA Regional, the University of Texas Tyler 3-2. With the win SU advances to the second round of the Regional Saturday at 2:00 pm.

    CONWAY, Ark. – Led by senior third baseman Katelyn Gola who was an unanimous selection, Southwestern University landed four players on the 2010 Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference All-Tournament Team. Joining Gola on the squad is pitcher Lyndsy Maus, first base Haley Hughes and second base Aly Pulver. The Pirates were named the 2010 SCAC Champions after defeating Millsaps twice on Championship Sunday.

    CONWAY, Ark. - After a long day of rain delays, the longest game in SCAC history and having to win their way through the loser's bracket the Southwestern softball team defeated #12 DePauw, who had placed them in the loser's bracket to begin with, 3-2 late Saturday night. The win advances the Pirates to the SCAC Championship game where they will face Millsaps beginning at noon on Sunday.
