PINEVILLE, La. - Southwestern University's sophomore pitcher Lyndsy Maus led the Pirates to a third place finish at the NCAA Regional and was recognized for her efforts by being selected to the All-Tournament Team. The Pirates went 2-2 at the tournament and were just one game out of the championship contest.
Maus went 2-1 during the tournament, starting three games and appearing in all four contests. In 22 innings of work she allowed 20 hits and just nine runs, seven earned, while striking out 16 and walking only six. She had an ERA of 2.86 and held opponents to a .247 batting average, allowing only two extra base hits during the entire tournament.
The Pirates closed out the season with a 33-13 overall record and are the 2010 SCAC Conference Champions.
