Froboese is in her fourth season as the head of the first-ever intercollegiate softball program at Southwestern. Southwestern has quickly become a powerhouse despite having a young program. They have been earned a spot in the SCAC Conference Tournament all three years, entering as the #1 seed in the West each time. In 2010 Southwestern won the Conference Title and earned a bid to the NCAA Regional, advancing to the NCAA Regional Semifinal before falling to eventual national champion East Texas Baptist University 3-2.
Coach Froboese has been named SCAC Coach-of-the-Year for three consecutive years (2009, 2010, 2011) and earned her 100th in the 2009 season with a 10-9 victory over Trinity at home on April 11th. She has coached 3 First Team All-SCAC selections, four Second Team All-SCAC and nine All-SCAC Honorable Mention as well as three NFCA All-Region, one NCAA Regional All-Tournament Team and nine SCAC All-Tournament Team players.
Froboese comes to Southwestern after spending four years at Howard Payne University in Brownwood, TX. During her tenure at Howard Payne, she posted an overall record of 85-65, 67-37 in conference play. Froboese led the team to a 21-13 overall record in her first season at the helm and built the program up to a 28-win season in 2007, the most wins in program history.
In 2004, the Lady Jackets led all of NCAA Division III in doubles 69. In four years, Froboese produced three West All-Region players, 27 All-Conference selections and nine National Fastpitch Coaches Association Academic All-Americans. Also, during her tenure her players had a graduation rate of 100 percent.
Prior to her time at Howard Payne, Froboese spent two years as an assistant coach at her alma mater, Stephen F. Austin State University. A 2001 graduate of SFA, she finished her career in possession of four batting records. Froboese struck out just 10 times in 601 collegiate at-bats. During the 2001 season, she set a single-season hit record with 67 base hits. She also set career marks with 98 runs batted in, 36 doubles and 123 runs scored. In 2001, she was named the Southland Conference Utility Player of the Year.
Froboese earned a Bachelor's degree in kinesiology and holds a Master's degree in Educational Leadership from SFA.

Erin Crawford

Erin Crawford joined the Southwestern University Athletic Department in August 2011 as the Assistant Softball Coach and Assistant Men's and Women's Cross Country Coach. Originally, from Leander, Texas, Crawford played at Texas Tech from 2003-2006 and earned a B.B.A. in General Business in 2005 and her M.B.A. in 2007. She is the current record holder in every pitching category at Texas Tech including the most consecutive wins in 2004 and 2006. From 2004-2006 Crawford logged the most complete games, games started, innings pitched and strikeouts as well as allowing the fewest hits and walks. For her efforts, Crawford was a first team All Big XII selection in 2004 and second team All Big XII pick in 2005 and 2006. She also excelled in the classroom, making the Dean's List and the Academic All Big XII in 2004-2006. Before leaving Tech, Crawford was nominated for the senior female athlete.
