Longuet named SCAC Co-Pitcher of the Week

LAWRENCEVILLE, Ga. - Lindsey Longuet, a first-year pitcher from Missouri City, Texas, has been named the SCAC Softball Co-Pitcher of the Week for games played through Sunday, April 9th. She is joined by Texas Lutheran's Maitlin Raycroft.

Longuet led the Pirates to 3-1 series win over Centenary College, securing them a trip to the 2017 SCAC Softball Tournament. The Pirates moved into second place in the league standings after this weekend.

Longuet didn't give up an earned run in her three complete game performances. She recorded two shutouts and allowed just 13 hits in 21.0 innings, while striking out 14 batters. She held the Ladies' offense to a batting average of .186.

Southwestern is currently second in the conference with an 11-3 record and are 18-10 on the season. They face Schreiner University for a four-game series beginning on Friday at home.
