GEORGETOWN, Texas - The National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA) announced the 364 players chosen for the 2016 NFCA Division III All-Region softball teams including Southwestern University sophomore outfielder Taylor Curtis.
Curtis ranked 28th in the nation in triples with five on the year and was sixth in the conference in hits with 49 through the regular season. Curtis ended the year with a team leading .381 batting average with 28 hits, 13 doubles, three home runs and 18 RBIs. She also led SU with a .619 slugging percentage while notching 90 putouts from the outfield.
Curtis was also an All-SCAC First Team outfielder this season and earned SCAC Hitter of the Week honors twice (Week 1, 6).
All-Region players are nominated and selected by NFCA member coaches in each of the eight Division III regions.
