2014

Olivares appeared in 21 games for the Pirates, starting 11 matches. He scored four goals with one assist while taking 45 shots with 14 being on goal. Olivares was named to the SCAC All-Tournament Team. 

2013

Olivares appeared in 22 games this season for the Pirates, recording five goals and a team high six assists for 16 points, second most on the team. He had a season high three points in SU’s 2-1 win over Colorado College in the SCAC Semifinals, scoring one goal and assisting on one other. 

High School

Michael is a 2013 graduate of Georgetown HS. While there he earned Academic All-State honors. In 2012 he was named the Offensive District MVP. Also, in 2013 he was named to the All-State First Team, as well as named Central Texas Player of the Year and District MVP.

Personal

Michael is the son of Roy and Teresa Honstein, and Rey and Maria Mendez. He is pursuing a double major in business and finance.
