The Pirates Lose To The Tigers In Semifinal

GEORGETOWN, TEXAS- The Men's Soccer team earned the third seed for the SCAC Tournament and faced off against number two seed Trinity University for the semifinal matchup at SaberCats stadium Friday evening at 7:30 PM. 

Just three minutes into the match, the Pirates scored on their own goal trying to clear a penalty kick. Another goal by the Tigers within the first ten minutes of the match made the deficit 2-0 and the Pirates found themselves down by two goals as they headed into halftime. Southwestern struggled to get shots off and finished with just one corner kick and three total shots, all of which came in the second half. Ultimately, the Tigers would win this semifinal matchup, 3-0.

The Pirates will be graduating eleven seniors and finished out their season with an overall record of 10-3-3, and were 6-2 in conference.
