GEORGETOWN, TEXAS- Southwestern Men's Soccer hosted their final home game against the Austin College Kangaroos on Sunday, Oct 22, 2023. 

The Pirates were celebrating Senior Day and had eleven seniors acknowledged before the match for their athletic achievements on and off the field during their time at Southwestern. 

Seniors:

• Skyler Frey

• Winston Hebert

• Carr Panetta

• Brendan Prather

• Peyton Sullivan

• Sam Valentine

Luca Cipleu got things going early for the Pirates with a goal in the first four minutes, assisted by Nathaniel Blake and Mofe Ariyo. Just two minutes later, Ariyo and Greyson Pinto set up Ashton Bynum and he was able to put it in the back of the net for his third goal of the weekend. Southwestern outshot the Roos 19 to 3 and Everando Garza, goalie for the Roos, gets credit for seven saves. Brendan Prather earned the shutout on Senior Day and the Pirates walked away with the win, giving them a better chance of making the SCAC Tournament.
