2008 (Senior Year)
Started 15 matches in his final season with the Pirates and
appeared in 17...allowed 23 goals for a 1.43 average...recorded 77
saves...finished 8-8 on the season...had four shutouts...recorded
one assist for one point and took three shots...was a second team
All-SCAC selection.
2007 (Junior Year)
Tasin started 17 of 20 matches between the pipes for the Bucs in
his junior season...logged 1621.32 minutes in goal...only let up 16
goals on the year and only 5 in SCAC play (Pirate school
record)...registered 72 saves on the year and an overall .89
GAA...had a 12-4-1 record on the season...recording 6 shutouts and
helping in three more shutouts with first year keeper Michael
Ross...for his efforts in the penalty area was selected to the
All-SCAC Second Team...ranked high in many categories in the
SCAC...third in GAA (.89), 2nd in save percentage (.818), fourth in
total saves (72), 9th in saves per game (3.60), 2nd in shutouts (6)
and third in shutouts per game (.30)...also recorded an assist off
a punt from goal in 2-0 win vs. Depauw (Oct. 21)...led the team to
beating two ranked opponents on the season having two saves on two
shots in beating #23 Depauw and registering 5 saves in a 2-1 win
vs. #10 Centre College.
2006 (Sophomore Year)
Tasin started all 19 matches in his sophomore campaign...logged
1616:36 minutes on the season...had a 1.22 goals against average
(GAA) only letting 22 goals in on the year...recorded 59 saves for
a .728 save percentage...recorded 6 shut-outs on the year...was
selected as the SCAC Co-Defensive Player of the Week for the week
of Oct.16-22 in which he made five saves in a 4-0 victory vs.
DePauw and preserving another SCAC shut-out and 1-0 win with two
saves vs. #18 ranked Centre...was ranked third in the SCAC in
GAA...was also ranked third in shutouts (6) and shutouts per game
percentage (.32). Tasin set a Pirate record for only allowing 5
goals in SCAC play on the season.
2005 (First Year)
Tasin started one match and appeared in 3 matches in his rookie
season as a Pirate...he logged 162:34 minutes in his first
season...had a 2.21 GAA letting up 4 goals...recorded 6 saves with
a .600 save percentage...got his first collegiate minutes vs.
UT-Tyler in a 1-0 victory (Sept. 20)...made his first collegiate
start vs. Oklahoma City University (Oct. 25).
High School
Tasin was a 2nd Team All-District Pick in 2004 and in 2005 was a
1st Team All-District Pick, District Goalkeeper of the Year,
All-Region Team selection and an Academic All-State selection at
Georgetown HS.
Personal
Ryan is the son of Jim and Dorothy Tasin...born on May 13,
1987...has two brothers, Joshua and Brett, who graduated and played
soccer at University of Mary-Hardin Baylor...his major is
undecided.
