Started in 14 games for the Pirates and played in three
more...scored one goal and had a team high six assists for eight
points...had one game winning goal on the season...took 45 shots,
17 of them on goal, for a .378 shots on goal percentage.
2007 (First Year)
Keller appeared in 17 matches in his rookie season for the
Bucs...recorded 2 goals and had 3 assists on the year for 7
points...in SCAC play had one goal and one assist...ranked first on
the team with four other Pirates in assists on the season
(3)...tied for fifth in scoring (7 pts) for the Pirates and was
ranked eight in goals scored (2)...registered his first collegiate
minutes in a 0-0 tie vs. Whitworth in the second match of the
season (Sept. 2)...registered his first collegiate point with an
assist on the second goal in 4-1 win vs. Texas Lutheran (Sept. 28)
and scored his first collegiate goal vs. TLU...had a goal and an
assist vs. TLU for a personal season high 4 points...had a team
high 2 assists vs. TLU...voted by his peers as the Pirate Newcomer
of the Year Award for his efforts on the field.
High School
Alex attended Langham Creek HS in Houston and as a Lobo he
graduated Summa Cum Laude, was a 1st Team All-District pick and an
Academic All-State selection. Alex also ran for the Cross Country
team.
Personal
Alex is the son of Peter Keller and Mary Knox...has three brothers
- Andrew, Phil and Edward...is currently majoring in Physical
Science and Business at SU.
