2013-14

Byrd finished off a solid season posting her top times at the SCAC Championships including an 11th place finish in the 100 breaststroke. Her time of 1:12.29 just missed a top 10 finish as her time of 2:43.59 placed her 16th in the 200 breaststroke. She also swam to a personal best in the 50 freestyle at the SCAC Championships with a time of 26.30. Byrd was named to the dean's list both semesters. 

 

High School

Marissa is a 2013 graduate of McNeil HS. While at McNeil, Marissa earned four letters in swimming and was a member of the National Honor Society and the French National Honor Society in 2012 and 2013.

Personal

Marissa is the daughter of Lisa and John Byrd, and she has one brother Justin and one sister Lauren. She is pursuing a major in psychology at Southwestern.
