Women's Swimming & Diving Open Season in San Antonio

SAN ANTONIO — The Southwestern swimming and diving women's team opened its season with a dual match against the Trinity Tigers, losing to the defending Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference (SCAC) Champions. 

All-American Jesse Stovall had a strong open to the season, winning the 50-yard freestyle with a time of 24.75 and placing second in the 50-yard medley with a time of 26.55. Riley Barlage (30.20) and Alicia Peters finished in the top two for the 50-yard backstroke. 

The 200-yard medley relay team of Delaney Anthony, Natalie Gierat, Stovall, and Emma Frey placed second with a time of 1:54.62. The 200-yard freestyle relay team of Frey, Anthony, Emma Williams, and Stovall also finished second with a time of 1:44.74. 

Southwestern will host Colorado College and Centenary for a meet on Friday, Oct. 22, at 5:00 p.m.
