Southwestern Hosts Trinity For Dual Meet

GEORGETOWN, TEXAS - Southwestern Men's & Women's Swimming and Diving teams hosted the Trinity University Tigers for a dual meet on Saturday, January 20, 2024 in the Walzel Natatorium. Emma Williams, Zach Kangieser, Nathan Abrego, Sebastian Ortiz, Delaney Anthony, Jess Karli, Maysen Hauck, and Katya Piekarski were celebrated before the meet for Senior Day. 

 

HIGHLIGHTS:

  • In a time of 1:50.32, Ellie Samples, Antonia Leese, Ella Bonvillian, and Emma Williams earned first place in the 200-yard Medley Relay. 

  • Andrew Renninger placed 1st in the 1000-yard freestyle in 10:16. 

  • Antonia Leese improved upon her seed time to take first place in 100-yard breaststroke in 1:07.03

  • Ellie Samples earned first place in 100-yard backstroke with a time of 1:01.01 and took first place in the 200-yard backstroke in 2:14.48.

  • Emma Williams tied for first place in 50-yard freestyle with a time of 24.84. 

  • Eli Allen took 1st place in the 50-yard freestyle with a fast time of 22.12. 

  • Cooper Wilson placed third overall and broke the school record in the 3-Meter Dive with a score of 212.95.
