The 2021-22 Southwestern Moment of the Year Tournament concluded with men's soccer goalkeeper Jack Viles becoming the program's first All-American crowned the champion.

Viles earned First Team All-American after posting a school-record 10 shutouts last season, totaling 42 saves for a .778 save percentage and .710 goals-against average.

For the Moment of the Year Tournament, the sports information department chose 64 moments from the past year — 32 from the men's sports and 32 from the women's sports — and categorized them by men's and women's sports and the fall and spring semesters. Then, each moment was seeded and placed in a tournament bracket to compete head-to-head against each other on Twitter polls, with votes determining who advances.

Viles' All-American honors defeated the return of men's tennis doubles star Hemanshu Rambojun, football's Senior Day victory, teammate Andrew Hernandez's golden goal, football quarterback Landry Gilpin lighting up Austin College, men's lacrosse's Hudson Bearden earning that program's first All-American honors, and women's head soccer coach Linda Hamilton being inducted into the National Soccer Hall of Fame.
