The Huston-Tillotson University Rams opened their season with a 3-0 victory over the American Southern Conference's McMurry University, who were selected eighth in the ASC head coaches' preseason poll.

Huston-Tillotson returns forward Marcos Escobar, who scored six goals in 2018 and totaled 12 points, earning RRAC All-Conference honorable mention honors. Escobar was one of three goal scorers in the Rams' season-opening victory, scoring his one goal on four shots.

The Southwestern University Pirates are still seeking their first win, taking Mary Hardin-Baylor to a 1-1 double-overtime draw and losing 2-1 to Concordia Texas.
