GEORGETOWN, TEXAS- The Southwestern Pirates wrapped up their conference regular season on the road versus the 4-1-1, Texas Lutheran Bulldogs in Seguin, Texas. 

The Bulldogs jumped out to an early 2-0 lead in the first twenty minutes of the match. Immediately after the Bulldog's second goal, Laren Gradt assisted it to Jackie Powell for her second goal of the season, bringing the Pirates to within one. Texas Lutheran's Martinez extended the Bulldog's lead but Thaleia Caldwell kept the Pirates in it with a goal before half, assisted by Meredith Lannan. 

Despite outshooting the Bulldogs eighteen to ten, the Pirates couldn't find the answer for stopping them. The Pirates would drop this game on the road, 4-2. 

Kalista Esquivel-Serna and Caylin Damrom split time in goal for the Pirates and totaled six saves together. 

Southwestern earned seven corner kicks, Texas Lutheran earned one. 

Next up for the Pirates is the SCAC Tournament on November 3rd, 2023 in Houston, Texas, where they will play the Texas Lutheran Bulldogs again in the Semifinals at 2:30 PM CDT.
