Women's Soccer Selected To Finish Second in SCAC Coaches Poll

Georgetown, TX- In exclusive voting by the league's head coaches, Southwestern University has been selected as number two in the SCAC preseason coaches poll. 

Trinity University is in the number one spot with a total of 67 votes and Texas Lutheran shares the number two spot with Southwestern with 52 votes. 

Southwestern heads into 2023 having won 24 matches over the last two seasons, the second-most in the SCAC during that span. 

Head Coach Linda Hamilton is entering her ninth season as coach for the Pirates and had this to say about the upcoming season. "I look forward to getting the season started this weekend. We look to use the non-conference schedule to help us prepare and get ready for conference play.  I have challenged the team with some difficult competition in the opening 2 weeks of play and I am excited to see how we match up with these teams "

The Pirates season opener is on the road versus Va Wesleyan on September 1st at 6:30 PM CDT.
