KERRVILLE, Texas – Southwestern's Hayley Miesse tied the game in the second half but Schreiner scored the game-winner just before halftime and held off the Pirates to win 2-1.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- In the 20th minute Schreiner broke the seal as Delaney Morrow, assisted by Alex Gil, scored to put the Mountaineers up 1-0.
- Seven minutes later Miesse evened the count, unassisted.
- Schreiner's Morrow scored again with less than two minutes to play in the first half and Schreiner held off Southwestern to earn the 2-1 win.

UP NEXT
Southwestern drops to 4-6-1 on the year and 3-1-1 in the SCAC while Schreiner improves to 7-3-1 overall and 4-1 in the conference. The Pirates return to action on Sunday as they take on league-leading Trinity (9-0-1, 4-0) at 1 pm.
