Women's Soccer Settles for Scoreless Tie

IRVING, Texas - Even 110 minutes of action weren't enough to decide the conference match-up as the University of Dallas and Southwestern's defenses controlled the game, ending in a scoreless tie.

Southwestern led in the shot count, taking 14 to the Crusaders 11 and had one more shot on goal in the match. Sarah Nonaka posted two saves while Brigid Hasson posted three saves.

The midfields of each team were busy all match as the ball pinballed from one side of the field to the other as each team looked for the prime opportunity to score. Both defenses pressed back and kept the other from getting a solid look at goal.

Southwestern moves to 6-9-1 on the year and 4-2-1 with the tie while Dallas moves to 9-6-1 and 2-2-1. SU remains in second place with the tie with one game remaining, holding a two game lead over UD.

The Pirates return home for senior night on Tuesday night, facing non-conference opponent Huston-Tillotson at 7 p.m.
