Juliet Pridgen Named SCAC Offensive Player of the Week

JULIET PRIDGEN OF SOUTHWESTERN UNIVERSITY, a sophomore forward from Mabank, Texas, has been named the SCAC Women's Soccer Offensive Player of the Week for games played through Sunday, April 11th.  

Pridgen scored a goal and added an assist for a total of three points in Southwestern's 4-0 win over St. Thomas last Tuesday. The win helped the Pirates secure the No. 2 seed going into the SCAC Tournament this upcoming weekend. 

Other outstanding performances in the SCAC:
Freshman Riley Keck of St. Thomas scored a goal in the Celts 2-1-win last Saturday against Austin College. The win lifted the Celts to the No. 6 seed heading into the SCAC Tournament. Junior forward Samantha Martinez of Texas Lutheran scored an unassisted goal and contributed to the Bulldogs' constant offensive pressure in a 4-0 shutout of Schreiner last Saturday. Junior forward Kaity Ward of Trinity registered the game-winning assist in the 1-0 double-overtime thriller at Centenary last Saturday to secure the No. 1 seed going into the SCAC Tournament.
