GEORGETOWN, TEXAS - Southwestern Women's Lacrosse (2-3) dropped to 1-1 in conference play after their contest against UW - River Falls Falcons (5-3) on Saturday. The Falcons came out firing on all cyclinders, scoring ten goals in the first quarter against the Pirates and never looked back. The final score line read 5-24 in favor of the Falcons; the Pirates now sit at fourth in the WIAC standings behind River Falls, UW - LaCrosse and Colorado College.
HIGHLIGHTS
Raquel Kurth scored all five of the Pirates goals against the Falcons and went 100% shooting for the day.
R'Yani Vaughn picke up four ground balls and had two caused turnovers in the game.
Cecilla Cantu assisted on one goal and had two draw controls against River Falls.
NOTES
Emma Bethke stopped ten shots for the Pirates and saw thirty total shots.
Junior goaltender Alanna Guerrero saw her first action in cage for Southwestern.
