GEORGETOWN, TEXAS - Southwestern Women's Lacrosse (2-3) dropped to 1-1 in conference play after their contest against UW - River Falls Falcons (5-3) on Saturday. The Falcons came out firing on all cyclinders, scoring ten goals in the first quarter against the Pirates and never looked back. The final score line read 5-24 in favor of the Falcons; the Pirates now sit at fourth in the WIAC standings behind River Falls, UW - LaCrosse and Colorado College.
HIGHLIGHTS
- Raquel Kurth scored all five of the Pirates goals against the Falcons and went 100% shooting for the day.
- R'Yani Vaughn picke up four ground balls and had two caused turnovers in the game.
- Cecilla Cantu assisted on one goal and had two draw controls against River Falls.
NOTES
- Emma Bethke stopped ten shots for the Pirates and saw thirty total shots.
- Junior goaltender Alanna Guerrero saw her first action in cage for Southwestern.

- After six straight games on the road, the Pirates will compete in their home opener this weekend against UW - LaCrosse on Friday April 12th at 4:00 PM.
