Women's lacrosse leads inaugural AFSP Campus Walk

GEORGETOWN, Texas - Even with their 2016 season over the Southwestern women's lacrosse team continues to make a profound impact on campus through the first American Foundation for Suicide Prevention (AFSP) Campus Walk.

More than 160 students, administrators, staff members and coaches participated in the walk around campus on Sunday, April 10th. The event raised more than $6,000 for the AFSP.

Head Coach Matthew Grosso headed up the planning of the event as he has been impacted both personally and professionally by suicide.

The American Foundation for Suicide Prevention (AFSP) is the leading national not-for-profit organization exclusively dedicated to understanding and preventing suicide through research, education and advocacy, and to reaching out to people with mental disorders and those impacted by suicide.
