Softball

 2012 (Junior)

Hughes played in 39 games for Southwestern. She was 50-137 for a .365 batting average which was first on the team. She led the SCAC with 8 home runs, she was fifth in the conference with 35 RBIs, and fourth in the SCAC in total bases with 78. On the field, Hughes led the league in chances (276) and putouts (256). On February 19, Hughes was named the SCAC Softball Offensive Player-of-the-Week. She was also named All-SCAC Honorable Mention.

2011 (Sophomore)

Hughes started 38 of the 40 contests she appeared in this season. In 112 at bats she posted 34 hits, eight doubles (2nd), six homeruns (2nd), scoring 18 times and drove in 23 runs. Hughes led the team with a .554 slugging percentage and was named as an All-SCAC Honorable Mention.

2010 (First-year)

Started all 46 games for the Pirates this season...finished first on the team in batting average (.387), slugging percentage (.639), hits (60), RBI (47), doubles (20), triples (2), and home runs (5)...finished with only 6 errors on the year for a .982 fielding percentage...SCAC All-Conference Second Team...SCAC All-Tournament Team...NCAA All-West Region Third Team.

High School

During her high school career, Haley was a four year varsity softball player that racked up all district honors in each year she played, including a first team all district infielder her senior year.  Haley was also academic all district her senior year.

Personal

Haley is the daughter of Robert and Tiana and has three siblings, Shawna West, Heath and Jarrod Hughes. Haley is majoring in business and minoring in communications at SU.
