Frey and Hartsell Win Big in Season Opener
COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. –  In their season opener, the Southwestern University Pirates women's swimming and diving team fell to Colorado College 173-118 but had some big win's for Rehgan Hartsell and Emma Frey.        
         
Both Frey and Hartsell help the women's 200-yard medley relay win first, along with Brynn Stokes and Jesse Stovall, with a time of 1:53.81.

Hartsell, who was picked 2019 SCAC Female Swimmer of the Year, showed her skill by winning her signature strokes in the 100-yard breaststroke with a  time of 1:11.44 and the 200-yard IM with a time of 2:20.38

Frey, who just completed her first collegiate meet, not only helped the women's relay but also won first in the women's 100-yard backstroke with a time of 1:02.41 and the women's  100-yard freestyle with a time of 56.11. Stovall also did well by winning second to Frey in the 100-yard freestyle with a time of 56.92.  Natalie Gierat also won first in the women's 200-yard breaststroke with a time of 2:44.05.

The next meet for the Pirates will be in Sherman, Texas Oct. 25 at 6 p.m. against the Austin College Roos.
