GEORGETOWN, TEXAS - Southwestern Women's Basketball (4-14)  traveled to Kerrville, Texas, to play the Schreiner Mountaineers (6-12) for a 6:00 PM Saturday matchup. The Mountaineers got the early lead and held on for a 66-51 victory.  

HIGHLIGHTS:

  • Ellie Ward had 15 points, 4 rebounds, and 1 steal. 

  • Aniyah Burke added 11 points, 6 rebounds, 2 assists, and 1 steal. 

  • Trinity Benitez had 5 rebounds and 3 steals to go along with her 8 points. 



NOTES:

  • The Pirates connected on 3 of 20 3-pointers

  • Scoring just 15 points in the first half, the Pirates made a run, combining for 36 points in the second half

  • The Pirates battled the Mountaineers on the boards, outrebounding them 41 to 40 (20 to 14 in the second half alone)
