GEORGETOWN, TEXAS- Women's basketball (3-12)finished out their road trip playing the Ladies of Centenary College (1-12) in the Gold Dome of Shreveport, Louisiana, on Sunday, January 7, 2024, at 2:00 PM CST. Southwestern took control of the game late in the second quarter and was able to come away with the win, 54-42. 

HIGHLIGHTS:

• Trinity Benitez earned a double-double by racking up 13 rebounds to go along with her game-high 16 points. 

• Aniyah Burke also scored 16 points, going 2/2 for 3-pointers and 4/4 for free throws. She added 5 rebounds and 4 assists as well. 

• Coming off the bench, Lauren Stevens went ⅘ for field goals and 1/1 for 3-pointers to finish with 9 points, 6 rebounds, and 2 blocks. 

NOTES:

• The Pirates went 11-14 on free throws for the game

• Southwestern outrebounded Centenary 46 to 35

• The Pirates held the Ladies to 1/14 shooting for 3-pointers
