Women's Basketball Drops Game To Trinity, 55-75

GEORGETOWN, TEXAS - Southwestern Women's basketball (4-12) traveled to San Antonio, Texas to take on the Trinity Tigers (12-5) on Friday evening inside the Bell Center. The Pirates fought to the end but ultimately fell short to the Tigers, 55-75.

 

HIGHLIGHTS:

  • Top scorer for the Pirates was R'Yani Vaughn  who came off the bench and went 5/6 from the free throw line to finish with 13 points in 19 minutes. 

  • Aniyah Burke added 10 points, 4 rebounds, and 2 assists.

  • Emily Jasek finished with 5 rebounds, 1 assist, and 10 points. 


NOTES:

  • The Pirates continued their strong free throw shooting, going 13/16 (81%)

  • The Tigers shot a season-high 41 free throws for the game, connecting on 28 makes

  • The Pirates finished with 33 rebounds compared to the Tigers with 35
