GEORGETOWN, TEXAS- Women's Basketball traveled to Longview, TX, for their second game of the preseason, versus the LeTourneau YellowJackets. 

LeTourneau(0-1) took the early lead by going 2-4 for 3-pointers in the first quarter but the Pirates battled back and outscored the YellowJackets 11-7 to go into halftime only trailing by one point. 

The game was delayed in the third quarter for nearly 45 minutes as a section of lights went out on the LeTourneau side. The lights never came back on, but the coaches agreed to continue play. From there, the YellowJackets went on a 10-1 run and looked to be running away with the game. 

Kaila Hamilton got things going early for the Pirates by grabbing a defensive rebound and taking it the length of the court for two. With 8-minutes to go, the Pirates still found themselves down by eight. Halfway though the 4th, Aniyah Burke was fouled and able to connect on both free-throws brining the Pirates to within 2. Ultimately the YellowJackets countered the Pirate's run with a strong finish themselves, finishing up the game with the 58-45 victory.
