Southwestern University Pirates women's basketball center Cecily Woolfolk was named the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference (SCAC) Player of the Week for her performances in games played from Jan. 13-19.

Woolfolk anchored the Pirates inside, averaging 19 points and 10.5 rebounds on 48.3 percent shooting through two games last week.

The Pirates' senior center was overpowering inside against Austin College, helping to lead Southwestern to an upset over the No. 20-ranked team in Division III women's basketball with 15 points on 6-for-11 shooting with 10 rebounds.

Against Dallas, Woolfolk posted 23 points, shooting 7-for-10 from the free-throw line, to go with 11 rebounds, four blocks, two steals, and two assists.

Woolfolk currently ranks first in the conference in free throws (68-for-113) and offensive rebounds (62); and second in overall rebounds per game (8.4) and blocks (20).

Southwestern will return to action on Friday, Jan. 24 with a road game against Schreiner, followed with a road game against Trinity on Saturday, Jan. 25.
