GEORGETOWN, TEXAS - Southwestern University Men's Basketball traveled down to Seguin, Texas on Friday to take on the Texas Lutheran Bulldogs at Memorial Gymnasium. The Pirates led at halftime by a score of 32-30, however, Southwestern was unable to maintain the lead throughout the second half and were outscored 39-31 in the second. The Bulldogs ultimately downed the Pirates 69-63.
HIGHLIGHTS
- Freshman forward Luke Mills led the team in points with fourteen on the night with seven rebounds and two blocks.
- Nico Mur was second on the team in scoring coming off the bench with eleven total.
- Brock Luechtefeld and Shobby Enakpene each had ten points. Enakpene went 4-5 from the free throw line.
NOTES
- Texas Lutheran scored sixteen points off of turnovers throughout the evening compared to the Pirates' twelve.
- The Pirates managed more points in the paint compared to TLU, racking up thirty-two points in the paint versus twenty-six from the Bulldogs
- In total, there were twenty ties throughout Friday evening's game including eighteen lead changes throughout the matchup.
