GEORGETOWN, TEXAS- Pirate's Men's basketball (1-12) hosted the Austin College Roos (5-7) for their final game of 2023 on December 30, 2023 at 4:00 PM in the Corbin J. Robertson Center. The Pirates rallied late in the second half, but the Roos held on for the 73-71 win. 

 

HIGHLIGHTS:

  • Luke Hatcher led the Pirates with 17 points, going 7/10 from the field. 

  • Brock Luechtefeld grabbed 9 rebounds, 2 blocks, and scored 16 points, including going 6-6 from the free throw line. 

  • Luke Mills finished with 11 points, 4 assists, and 7 boards. 

 

NOTES:

  • The Pirates finished with just 10 turnovers 

  • The Pirates shot 14/20 from the free-throw line

  • Southwestern's bench outscored Austin College's 14-6
