Ogden highlights Southwestern All-SCAC honors

GEORGETOWN, Texas – Three Pirates earned All-SCAC honors including sophomore forward Ryan Ogden who was a First Team All-SCAC selection.

Ogden was the second-leading scorer and rebounder in the conference, averaging 17.9 points and 9.1 rebounds per game. A versatile threat, Ogden was fifth in the conference in three-pointers and fourth in free throws while also finishing the regular season seventh in steals (38) and ninth in blocks (17).

Ogden was an Honorable Mention selection last season.

Joining Ogden in the report was junior forward Zachary Whitlock who earned his second All-SCAC Second Team selection. Whitlock is sixth in the conference in points per game, averaging 14.8 points and is 21st in rebounds, posting 113 on the year. He ranks in the top 15 in blocks (12) and steals (26).

Junior guard Chris Molina earned his first post-season honor as an Honorable Mention selection. A deadly shooter from three-point range, Molina is second in the conference in made three's with 53 on the year and ranks 11th in points per game with 13.2. Additionally, Molina is fifth in steals (39) and 15th in assists (52).

Southwestern closed the regular season with a 13-12 overall record and 10-4 in conference to finish the regular season tied for second. The Pirates went into the conference tournament as the #3 seed but dropped their opener 71-60 to Austin College, ending their season.
