Softball's Bailey Meyer Named to the Google Cloud All-District First Team

Southwestern University Pirates softball player Bailey Meyer was named to the Google Cloud Academic All-District® Team, advancing to the Google Cloud Academic All- America® national ballot.

Meyer, a junior pitcher from Colorado Springs, Colo., is a Chemistry major with a 3.87 GPA. On the field, she finished the season 10-2 in the pitcher's circle with a 3.24 ERA, limiting opponents to just a .229 batting average with 68 strikeouts, earning All-SCAC honorable mention.

The Academic All-District Teams in softball are chosen by position. Meyer was one of  the two pitchers selected. First Team Academic All-District® honorees advance to the Google Cloud Academic All-America® ballot. First, Second and Third Team (when selected) Academic All-America® honorees will be announced in June.

The Google Cloud Academic All-District® teams are divided into eight geographic districts across the United States and Canada.
 
The Division II and III Google Cloud Academic All-America® programs are partially financially supported by the NCAA Division II and III national governance structures to assist the College Sports Information Directors of America with handling the awards fulfillment aspects for the 2018-19 Divisions II and III Academic All-America® programs.
