Maus Earns SCAC Pitcher-of-the-Week Honors

SUWANEE, Ga. - Lyndsy Maus, a senior righthander from Cypress, Texas, has been selected the SCAC Softball Pitcher-of-the-Week for games played from Monday, April 9 through Sunday, April 15. 

Maus was untouchable on the mound, throwing 23 innings and earning all four wins this weekend with a 0.39 ERA.

In four games she posted two shutouts while allowing 12 hits and just two runs, one earned. She struck out 16 batters and walked none while holding the Crusaders to a .143 batting average.

The Pirates are currently in first place in the SCAC West with an 11-1 conference record with four games remaining. They have solidified a spot in the SCAC Conference Tournament but Trinity, who is one game behind SU in the rankings, for a four game series beginning on Saturday at 1 p.m. in San Antonio, Texas.
