For the third time this season junior pitcher Lauren Zearfoss has been named as the SCAC Pitcher-of-the-Week for games played from Monday, April 4 through Sunday, April 10th. This is the fourth time an SU hurler has earned the award.

Zearfoss was sensational on the mound this weekend for the Pirates posting a perfect 2-0 record including a complete game shutout against Austin College Saturday afternoon. Zearfoss pitched 14 innings, striking out 17 batters while not allowing a walk giving up just five hits in each contest. On the weekend she posted a 1.50 ERA.

On the season, Zearfoss is now an impressive 14-4 with a 0.99 ERA in 120.1 innings while striking out 151 batters allowing opponents just a .186 batting average against her.

The Pirates close out the regular season at home this weekend, facing Millsaps College for a four game series starting on Saturday at 1pm. Southwestern has already solidified a spot in the SCAC Conference Tournament and are in first place in the West with a 25-11 overall record, 11-1 in the conference. They hold a three game lead over second-place Millsaps.
