RAVEN GARCIA OF SOUTHWESTERN UNIVERSITY, a senior attacker from Georgetown, Texas, has been named the SCAC Women's Lacrosse Offensive Player-of-the-Week for games played from Monday, April 11 through Sunday, April 17. It marks the second consecutive week she has received the honor. Garcia made history last week, passing the all-time career goals record in Southwestern's Women's Lacrosse history. Garcia scored five goals in her game against Augsburg University to reach 120 goals, passing the previous record of 116 held by Kaitlyn Campbell (14'-17').
The Pirates went 1-1 on their Midwest road trip. Garcia scored two goals on Friday in a 19-7 loss against Wisconsin-River Falls and had a game-high five goals in Saturday's 20-4 win at Augsburg. Garcia sits at 67 career assists and her next assist will equal the program record in that category.
