The Southwestern University Pirates women's lacrosse team took both Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference (SCAC) awards this week with Hayley Donnelly earning Offensive Player of the Week and Julia Tape winning Defensive Player of the Week. 

Donnelly led the Pirates in scoring with four goals on seven shots, including six on goal, and collected two ground balls and one draw. She has 11 points through two games this season with eight goals on 12 shots (66.7 percent) and three assists. 

Tape collected a team-high five ground balls against Westminster. She has seven ground balls on the season and one cause turnover. 

This is the second and third Southwestern women's lacrosse Player of the Week award this season. Grace Maynard was names the Defensive Player of the Week in Week 1 on Feb. 12. The Pirates are 1-1 this season and will host Hendrix University on Saturday, Feb. 23 at 12:00 p.m.
