Hugel was a member of the Pirate track & field team and was a member of the SCAC Academic Honor Roll.

High School

Anna is a 2013 graduate of Ursuline Academy in New Orleans, LA. While in high school she had a stellar career both in and out of the classroom. In 2010 she earned 5th place in the District Literary Rally for Physical Science and 2nd place Southeastern Language Festival, French Extemporaneous Speaking. She also received Le Grand Concours Certificat d’honneur in French I during her freshman year. As a sophomore, she earned her school's St. Angela's Award and was named Most Improved Player on her basketball team. In 2012 she was recognized on her track team as the Most Improved Player and also did well in academic competition earning 2nd place at the District Literary Rally, French lll, and 2nd place at the French lll State Literary Rally. During her senior year she was named as a WWL A+ Athlete and the Most Valuable Player on her track team and the Basketball Coach's Award. Anna again competed in academic events and earned 3rd place in the French lV District Literary Rally; she earned the Le Grand Concours Certificat de Reussite, French lV; and the Certificate of Excellence in French lV and Piano; as well as her school's Service Award. She was also chosen each year to receive Ursuline Academy’s President's Award.

Personal

Anna is the daughter of Anna and Dieter Hugel and has two brothers, Mark and Dieter Jr. She is majoring in animal behavior at Southwestern.
