Women's Track & Field Solid In Final Meet Before SCAC Championships

SAN MARCOS, Texas — Southwestern women's track and field had a solid performance at the Texas State University Charles Austin Classic in the final meet before the SCAC Championships.

Erica Robuck crossed the finish line in the 100-meter dash at 13.24 to finish 15th overall and second amongst Division III athletes, trailing Texas Lutheran's Taylor Norrell (13.19). 

Taylor Hubbard led all Division III athletes in the pole vault, clearing 2.95 meters to finish eighth. Hubbard also finished fourth in the javelin throw with a mark of 31.10 meters.  

Tiamara Hill-Johnson was solid in the discus, throwing a distance of 41.2 meters to place third behind two Texas State athletes. Hill Johnson also placed 11th in the shot put with a throw of 9.85 meters. Teammate Riley Barlage followed in 12th with a throw of 8.58 meters. 

Barlage also recorded a personal-best in the hammer throw at 38.24 meters, finishing fourth behind three Division I athletes. 

Charlotte Kraushaar competed in the heptathlon and placed second, finishing third in the 200-meter dash (29.08), third in the 800-meter run (2:52.98), second in the 100-meter hurdles (16.85), second in the high jump (1.45 meters), second in the long jump (4.67 meters), fourth in the shot put (9.03 meters), and third in the javelin throw (30.37 meters). 

Southwestern will compete in the SCAC Championships from Saturday, April 24, through Sunday, April 24.
