Shaikh was a member of the 4x100 team that finished in third place at the SCAC Championships with a season-best time of 47.02 to earn All-SCAC honors. He had a season-best time of 12.32 in the 100 meter dash at the SCAC Championships and posted a time of 25.80, another season best, at the UIW Cardinal Invitational. Shaikh was a member of the SCAC Academic Honor Roll.
