Men's Track & Field Competes In DIII Challenge

SEGUIN, Texas — The Southwestern men's track and field team competed in the 2021 Division III Challenge hosted by Texas Lutheran University. 

The men placed two in the top five in the 5,000-meter run. Noah Dennis finished second, clocking in at a personal-best time of 15:58.23, and C.P. Shaulis placed fourth with a time of 17:25.39. Doug Ginsberg ran it in 17:53.88 to place seventh. 

Keith Rupe competed in the 400-meter hurdles, finishing in 1:05.62 to place eighth. Jude Ballew placed eighth in the long jump with a distance of 6.13 meters. Millan Fernandes placed sixth in the triple jump, recording a distance of 12.49 meters. Christopher Ojonta finished eighth in the triple jump, finishing with a distance of 12.06 meters. 

Southwestern will return to action on Saturday, April 10, competing in the University of Incarnate Word Invitational in San Antonio, Texas.
