99 Pirates named to SCAC Spring Academic Honor RollJune 10, 2015The Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference (SCAC) announced its Student-Athlete Academic Honor Roll today for the 2015 spring term and 99 Southwestern student-athletes made the list.

SCAC Announces 2015 Winter All-Sportsmanship TeamsMarch 24, 2015The Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference (SCAC) today announced its seventh annual winter All-Sportsmanship teams. A total of 28 student-athletes were selected to the 2014-15 squad in the sports of men’s basketball, women’s basketball, men’s swimming & diving and women’s swimming & diving.

Men sweep strokes; earn Staff of the YearFebruary 14, 2015The Southwestern men had a big day to close out the SCAC Championships. Matt Sluss tied as the highest point getter but lost the tie breaker to be named Swimmer of the Meet, but Jon Duncan and the Southwestern staff captured Men’s Coaching Staff of the Year honors.

The men sit in second place, trailing Trinity by 23 points, and the women sit in third.

Pirates close day one in first placeFebruary 11, 2015After two events and diving the Southwestern men's team sits in first place by 14 points after day one at the SCAC Championships. The women had a strong day one outing as well, ending the day in second place behind Trinity, trailing by just 12 points.

Swimming & diving crushes McMurry; split with UTPBJanuary 23, 2015In their final regular season meet of the season the Southwestern swimming and diving team competed in a tough tri-team meet in Abilene. Southwestern men defeated McMurry 205-55 but fell to UT Permian Basin 165-115. The women won both meets, taking down McMurry 191-75 and edging out UTPB 144-135.

Southwestern duo named SCAC Men's Swimmer and Diver of the WeekJanuary 21, 2015First-years Mickey Scharbrough and Dillon Glass earned SCAC Swimmer and Diver of the Week for week 10 of the season after outstanding performances against Trinity University on Saturday.

Sluss named SCAC Men's Swimmer of the WeekNovember 13, 2014Freshman Matt Sluss of Southwestern University and senior Austin Howlett of Colorado College have been named the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference Male Swimmer-of-the-Week and Male Diver-of-the-Week for their outstanding performance this past weekend.
