Swimming and Diving Wraps Up Meet With Centenary and Colorado College

GEORGETOWN, Texas — Southwestern University swimming and diving wrapped up its home opener against Colorado College and Centenary on Saturday. 

Southwestern's women won their 200-yard medley relay with Emma Frey, Natalie Gierat, Jesse Stovall, and Emma Williams clocking in at 1:55.42. Molly Spano followed with a victory in the 1,000-yard freestyle, finishing at 11:12.89. Stovall continued her string of wins with a 54.98 to win the 100-yard freestyle and Delaney Anthony claimed victory in the 100-yard backstroke at 1:02.15. Gierat scored another Pirate victory with a time of 1:13.55 in the 100-yard breaststroke. The women capped off the day with a 200-yard freestyle relay, led by Williams, Catherine Hiebel, Zoe Garcia, and Stovall's time of 1:42.65. 

Southwestern's men picked up one win in the 200-yard freestyle relay with Sam Anderson, Drew Anderson, Sebastian Ortiz, and Henry McClure finishing at 1:29.57. 

The Pirates' next competition will be on Nov. 6 against Austin College in Sherman, Texas.
