GEORGETOWN, TEXAS - The Men's swimming and diving team entered the fourth and final day of competition at the SCAC Championships in Garland, TX in third place. After a full day of prelims, diving, and swimming events, the Pirates secured third place for the 2024 SCAC Swimming and Diving Championships. Day 4 HIGHLIGHTS:
- First year, Cooper Wilson, placed 8th in the 3Meter Dive with a score of 281.65.
- James Cosman(16:36.76) and Zach Roberts(16:49.82) went 4 and 5 in the 1650 yard freestyle.
- Andrew Renninger had a strong kick to finish 2nd overall in the 200-yard backstroke in a time of 1:53.68.
- Sebastian Ortiz earned 6th overall in the 100-yard freestyle in 47.24.
- Jorge Mendiola placed 4th overall in the 200-yard breaststroke in 2:04.74.
- Zach Kangieser made the podium for 3rd overall in the 200-yard butterfly in 1:52.53, and Zach Roberts placed 7th in a time of 2:00.79.
- Continuing with strong relays, the Pirates placed 3rd overall in the 400-yard freestyle relay in a time of 3:09.31.
