First-years Mickey Scharbrough and Dillon Glass earned SCAC Swimmer and Diver of the Week for week 10 of the season after outstanding performances against Trinity University on Saturday. 

MICKEY SCHARBROUGH OF SOUTHWESTERN UNIVERSITY, a freshman from Lake Havasu, Ariz., has been selected the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference Men's Swimmer-of-the-Week for competition through Sunday, January 18th.

Scharbrough played a major role for the Pirates this past weekend, leading the team to a huge victory over Trinity in their final home meet of the season.

Scharbrough won the 100 breast with a time of 1:00.80 and followed that up with a win in the 200 breast with a time of 2:17.00.

DILLON GLASS OF SOUTHWESTERN UNIVERSITY, a freshman from Houston, Texas, has been selected the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference Men's Diver-of-the-Week for competitions through Sunday, January 18th.

Glass was excellent on the diving boards for the Southwesern men's team as he led the Pirates to a huge victory over Trinity in their final home meet of the season

Glass won the 1-meter dive, and in the process, broke the Southwestern school record with a six dive score of 178.60.

Southwestern has one final meet before heading to the conference championships. They take on McMurry University on Friday evening in Abilene with a meet start time of 5 p.m.
