GEORGETOWN, TEXAS - It would take four quarters of hard fought basketball for the Pirates, but Southwestern Women's Basketball took their first win of the season against Concordia, and Head Coach Kriesel-Bigler's gained her first win of her head coaching career. The Pirates were down as many as seventeen points in the contest before roaring all the way back to tie the game late in fourth quarter. A huge three point jumper from senior Emily Jasek led the Pirates to a 57-54 lead over the Tornados, the go-ahead score was all the Pirates would need to ride the momentum to victory. The Pirates were led in points by Aniyah Burke with twenty-three on the night, going 6/8 from the free throw line followed by Jasek who had fourteen, knocking in 4/7 from the three point line.
