GEORGETOWN, Texas – Southwestern University' Cecily Woolfolk earned her 100th career block in the Pirates 73-65 victory over the Colorado College Tigers.

Woolfolk not only broke her second career record but was also the high scorer contributing 27 points, 10 rebounds and one assist. Junior guard Noel Pratts also bolstered the Pirates by scoring 16 points, 10 rebounds and two assists.

In the first quarter, both Pirates and Tigers stayed neck and neck with each other, both ending 14-14 with Woolfolk dominating the paint and scoring 10 of the 14 Pirate points. Once again in the second quarter, Woolfolk and Pratts dominated the Southwestern offense with Emma Lewis sinking a three-pointer with an assist from Erin Toro. However, the Colorado College offense was able to keep up with the Pirates and ended with a two-point lead of 32-30 before the half.

In the third quarter, the Tigers struggled to make shots. The Pirates took advantage to gain a significant lead, and the Tigers could not seem to close the 10-point gap. In the fourth quarter, Colorado tried to get back into a winnable game, but Southwestern matched every point Colorado made to win the second last home game of the season before the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference (SCAC) championships.

Up next, the Pirates will play in their senior game on Saturday, Feb. 22, at 6 p.m. against the Johnson and Wales University Cougars.
