Garcia earns All-SCAC First Team honor

GEORGETOWN, Texas – After a sensational senior season Audrey Garcia has the hardware to match with her first All-SCAC First Team selection.

Garcia ranked 2nd in the conference in points (364) and third in points per game (14.6) on the year while leading both categories in conference play. A complete player, Garcia was first in free throw percentage (82.7), sixth in assists (66), second in steals (49) and was 14th in rebounds (122). Garcia shot 34.8% from the floor and 28.8% from three point range.

Joining Garcia on the report were junior guard Olivia Podaras and first-year Tori Carroway who both earned Honorable Mention selections.

Podaras was 10th in the conference in points per game, averaging 11.2 while also ranking in the top ten in assists (65), rebounds (133), and steals (37). Carroway was third in the conference in rebounds with 171 on the year and ranked fourth in rebounds per game, averaging 6.8. A strong offensive threat, Carroway shot 49.7 percent from the field which was third in the conference and was tops from the floor in conference play, posting a 54.3 field goal percentage.

Southwestern closed the regular season at 8-17 overall and 5-9 in the SCAC to take the #5 seed into the SCAC Championships. The Pirates fell to Texas Lutheran University 70-50 Friday night to end their season.
